Hello,
Is there a (simple and easy of course) way to trigger the lighbox when clicking an image in journal style? The current set-up is like changing style altogether so I'd prefer the lightbox as it's more of a "dead-end" and visitors have to go back to journal before going somewhere else.
Thanks.

There is one for some styles but it only works when logged in so we're all
waiting for a solution.
I always use Journal... I have the hack to make Journal Large. Seems unfortunate that Smugmug has not modified any of their viewing styles (other than 'SmugMug') to take advantage of SmugMungous.
I currently have Single Image view modified where I removed the 'Next' and 'Prev' photo links... thus forcing the user to hit their 'Back' button to go back to the Journal... as you say, I wanted it to be a dead end. Single image view is great for allowing users to access to the 'Save Photo' link, or the Share link, or the Exif link, or make comments, but they can't view the picture any bigger than 'Large', which is probably the reason the viewer clicked on the pic in the first place!. ( I know they can view in Original, with scroll bars, but that is useless)
When a user clicks on a pic in Journal mode, I want the lightbox to display the photo in 'Auto' mode.
<rant>How come smugmug takes so long to modify these styles (to take advantage of SmugMungous for example), or give us new ones... I've been wanting enhancements to Journal style for 2.5 years now and yet it is still basically unchanged. :dunno (My change request was allowing users to pick the size pics they see in Journal, and allow the user to select how many pics to display on a Journal page, etc... something.... anything new would be nice... Journal is the best viewing mode... no need to click on every darn pic to see it... just scroll down... :rolleyes whatever..</rant>
i feel better now... I will keep an eye on this thread and will be glad to help test any ideas.

I share your frustration!
Smugmug is so far ahead with the scaleable slideshow, HD Video, and SmugMungous but my homepage and galleries page is stuck at 800 pixels wide. I am convinced my viewers do not know to click on the picture to go to a bigger picture so are only looking at a large size picture.
I would prefer an all thumbs SmugMungous view but all thumbs dousn't let you go back, has scrollbars etc. :(

Thanks for the rant. We are a small company, and we do what we can, dmc. {JT} has it on his list to apply stretchy to other areas of the site. I'm very sorry that we're not doing it fast enough for you. We have lots of things we're working on, and we discuss and debate the features request list all the time. And we balance out how many want what, and how it fits in with our strategy & plans. And we try as much as possible to listen to our customers, to be responsive to requests, and to deliver on our promise of the same. And to provide a site that is stable, secure, safe, good looking, easy to use and navigate and more.
Thanks for posting!
