And where there's sand, there is usually.... OIL! :clap
Thought I'd throw in a Pump Jack for good measure:

Sometimes e-mail doen't get the thought across clearly. I was asking how the shot was created. I don't suppose you found a mirror lying there, or did you? So, I was wondering if the mirror was real and lying there, or placed by you or a Photoshop creation? I really like it in any case and had no thought it wasn't your creation.

Gary

That is the rear view mirror of my motorcycle. I took the pic while sitting on my bike. I was using a wide angle lens, and had included the instrument panel as well. Unfortunately, the instrument panel was out of focus, so I just cropped the pic including the mirror. I think I like it better this way anyways...

I think it works really well. The funny part it that I have had bikes for 40 years and I couldn't figure that out. Thanks for the rest of the story.
Best Regards

I look forward to seeing more of your work,
ChrisDiscovering the smugmug, advrider, and dgrin communities has been a financial curse to me over the past 6 months... over $20,000 in purchases to date, and I still don't see an end to the madness :bash
1200 GS (with all the needed accessories)
Canon 20D (tripod, lenses, PS CS, etc...)
STOP THE MADNESS :help
I did post a pic of my bike over here (just one though :wink )... didn't want to overload these nice camera folks with biker pics!:

Nay, I say. The madness never stops. It gets less expensive over time, but only when you start running out of toys to buy! :scratch
And dont' sweat overrunning these folks with biker pics, a large large percentage of them ride as well. Funny how the two go hand in hand, sometimes!

dunno if i overlooked the info somewhere, but where is this? You can find these types of dunes scattered throughout West Texas and Eastern New Mexico... These particular shots were taken in the 'Monahans Sandhills State Park', a 4000 acre park in West Texas...
