Making a stab at some "classic" still lifes. Comments/critiques welcome. Catchy title eh?

I can't shot a still life if it jumped out and bit me so I am no real judge.
I can only go on what I have seen and what I enjoy. And I am not inspired by this. It is not composition or technical flaws, it is the subject matter for me.
Just a personal thing I guess:dunno

I guess still lifes are not too exciting. Just something to play around with when I'm stuck in the house in the evenings. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I like it. I think doing selective color on this one but with only the background being color might be cool. Of course the background may not be worth it.:dunno

Still life is tough to make interesting in photos. Generally the only thing in paintings that make it worth while is the artists talent at capturing light. I think in photography, it is getting an unique way to light the still life or play with color so one looks at it differently than they would any other time.
