Welcome
This is a nice beginners shot- you should be pleased with it.
Looking at it critically, however, shows several weaknesses.
First, the shot- at least on my screen- is not critically sharp. I assume this was handheld and we are looking at a little camera shake. What is your exif data here- shutter speed, aperature, iso etc.
When you saw the flower your eye automatically isolates the paradise. Your camera is not that smart. In this shot the flower blends into a busy background- and all is in about the same degree of sharpness. You will learn to study and control your background. A shallower depth of field might also be useful here. You will have to post process your shots to get great prints.
This is a very challanging hobby. You can spend your lifetime learning.
Don't pay much attention to me though, my shots get fried here as well:)
