What are the requirements for becoming a PPA member? I did not notice that on their website.

I think if you just click on the "Join" link at PPA, fill out the form and give them a credit card they'll be happy to send you a membership card. There are specific requirement (also listed on their web site) for varioius professional certification levels.

It's basically an "AAA" for photogs.. only an expensive one, so they are naturally protected from an avalanch of freeloaders. Once in, you get an access to various member-only services, like insurance, discounts, etc.

It looks like a great organization. They do have a lot of great benifits. I'm not sure if my volume of business justifies the cost of membership yet. Is there a stipulation for membership other than the fee and agreeing to their code of ethics?

For me it was getting liability insurance (mandatory for certain venues and all gov) relatively cheap...

I joined them a few weeks ago and it appears that I am getting quite alot more spam email than I did before. I never use my business email other than clients and things like this. I would be curious if anyone else gets more
Of course, it could be obtained any way....just weird timing
