Funny thing is that i have never heard of crack here at all....it just isnt used for some reason or cocaine for that matter. This is an inner city area so you get a few heroin addicts but they keep to themselves & just steal to survive. They never harm anyone physicaly.

By looney i mean 'a bit crazy' His junk used to extend out onto the street but the local council have clipped his wings a bit. He sleeps up on the front verandah to guard his 'great stuff' at night. We always stop & pat his cat...old 'one eye' but he hasnt showed for a while...bit of a worry as he did sleep in the middle of the road.

wow, mungoose, those are some of the sharpest and well balanced shots I can remember seeing from yer camera. I really like the colors of the pub. And the trees spilling out of the backyard of 'local houses.'

I'm fascinated - how do you know it's a knock shop? I've never knowingly seen a brothel in my life. Wasn't really sure they existed anymore.

Welllllllll...its painted purple...all windows are blacked out....front lights on 24/7...lots of leggy young girls in short pants leaving with oldish men across the road to the $25 a night motel...taxis dropping men off out the front...etc etc etc

Legal here for a one woman show to operate from private res....but the brothels get away with the men lobbing at the shop & then leaving for a nearby motel...no law against walking into a house to meet someone or people going to a motel room.

Its in the news sometimes but queenslanders are pretty laid back & really only freak out if the beer is hot. No-one really worries about them at all....no such thing as a pimp here & there are only street walkers in a tiny area of the red light district. Everyones pretty cool about it all.
