Ohhhh these are Great Brian :clap
What's that second little fella ?
One of his antenna's is broken off I think?

The last shot is really interesting,
covered in due drops, make his body look like it is made up of droplets too.

Great series ....thanks for sharing :thumb ... Skippy :D

Excellent shots ALL of them :clap In #1 is that a baby on it's head? and in # 6 it looks like this bug is wandering around in a pond :D

Thanks for the comments :)

Icebear- nothing wrong with #3 - I called that "A day at the races" - you can see the grandstand in the bg :)

Skippy- #2 is either an odd adult or a nymph of a bark fly. It was only 1.8mm long. The antennae is there just the DOF is so thin it does not show on the near side- I focus stacked the pic from 6 shots. Last shot is an early morning jumping plant louse. The shot below is the same bug 12 mins later- completely dried off.

Jill No it's not a baby in #1 on it's head- It's a springtail the woodlouse was using as a lookout :). The last shot is just on a damp water barrel lid but I placed a livid blue plastic lizard behind the bug for some colour :)

Yeah, that's what I meant. It looks like those child jockeys who ride in the camel races. I think that's child abuse. What did you think I meant? Ohhhhh . . . . now I get it. Well, I thought the guys on the Greek bowls in the movie Bird Cage really were playing hop-scotch too.
