hi all

i am looking for a single flexible gooseneck flash bracket which mounts onto the hot shoe

i can only find the novoflex twins and bogen gooseneck which is used in conjunction with the clamp system, and so therefore not what I am after

i only need one flexible arm so that i can position flash over lens, using it
as a broad light source

does anyone know of a product as described ?

J: A hotshoe mounted gooseneck would certainly put a lot of stress on your camera's shoe. Might even tear it off of the camera. :grim

H: If you'd like a flexible arm to position the flash over the camera, then something like this might work for you:

Is there a reason for choosing a gooseneck over a regular flash bracket?

A traditional bracket is probably a better choice. Most external flash brackets
are not designed to take the loads introduced by a gooseneck.
