Newbie: Video fine My sound is messed up

I am new to smug mug. Uploaded my first video and the video is fine but the sound is garbled. The file (a quicktime mov file created by iMovie) plays fine on my desktop.

I submitted to support and they told me my codec may be wrong and that I should post the question here.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong (I did look a the video help and threads and could not find anything related to it)?

I too am having audio problems, good video but no sound at all. Im doing .wmv from vegas with 192kbps 5.1 channel audio so Im messing with it but the conversion process on SmugMug has been taking forever.

Ok I took the 5.1 part out and now I have sound.

Here's what the awesome smugmug Hero sent me when I asked the question. It solved the same problem for me:

It just sounds like the audio is not in a format that our system
supports. We need AAC audio, 128kbps stereo or mono (no surround sound).

If you'd like an easy way to export your video to that audio format,
check out the free MPEG Streamclip at:

http://www.squared5.com/

If you use that to export, export a .mov with the h.264 codec and the
above audio settings and you should be good to go.

I really hate to go through all of that - you would think that smugmg would be able to support the output of iMovie - you tube does it without issues.
