Ok..OK..html..css?? All greek to me...lol
So far have managed to make a nav bar, put my banner up(albeit wong size!!) and do my bio...and I am ready to cry...:cry

I would like all pages black and white..nav bar to link to info as in:Home,About Me, portfolio, Your session,Investment,Blog, contact me and guest book..in my portfolio I would like all my photo's and on my home page a slide show.. and the text to match that in my banner??OMG am I making sense to anyone????
I seriously have read and re read threads and tutorials...so much now they are making less sence than before...:scratch

If someone could find it in their heart to set me in the right direction or code me..i will be forever in your debt!!!

:wave welcome! Do not cry. It's all copy & paste, really, and the best part, you don't have to do much thinking - we'll do it for you :) Just ask questions, make statements, give examples. We KNOW YOU ARE NOT A CODER! You are a photographer who wants a nice website. Don't go crazy, and stay calm, relaxed, and comfy, right here on the couch of customization comfort :D Like a drink? Okay, let's get started....

OK so a GREAT place to start is our Start Here Thread (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=52812). This will get you going with the info on the simple navbar, and the slideshow, and galleries page.

I'd suggest starting with a theme, like Gradient Grey, or Black & White, or Black Arts, or even SmugMug Classic. They are all black with lighter highlights.

An "About" gallery is nothing more than a new gallery, forced to journal style, with your photo in it and then your bio stuff / text in the caption. See my site (linked in my sig) for example.

Use the L version of your header, http://janomie-leah.smugmug.com/photos/251509492-L.jpg
and you'll want to crop it some in photoshop - it's too-tall and will force unneeded page scrolling.

Keep asking your questions right here in this thread, the helpers here are amazing and you'll be on your way in NO TIME! :D

Oh Andy thank you so much for answering me!! I have infact started there and thats how I have managed to do some things..so I guess to have added pages I start galleries change to journal style and link them to appropriate nav bar button?? Can I do that for every button I would like???
My theme is black and white simple and classic...
I will crop banner in CS3 and then uplaod again!

thanks again for clearing a few things up!!
