View Full Version : Snake in my garage!

I shot this a few months back when I still had my Canon S3 IS.
I walked out into my garage and happened upon this 6 ft. (1.8m.) Non-Venomous Rat-Snake.
After much provocation, and many, many shots, I finally got one, and only one, of her striking. The difficulty was compounded by my shakey one-handed grip on the camera (the other was holding said poking device) and the long-ish shutter lag on the S3. I had to anticipate when she'd strike and pull the trigger before she did.
It's not a great shot, but I thought since I don't post here much, I'd share it here and see what y'all think.

Nice one! Great colours in the shot. :thumb Snakes are very cool creatures, but I don't think I'd want to provoke too many of them! :huh

It's striking at my poking device...A broom handle on the left.

Wow, those are really good considering the conditions!

Awsome results from a point-and-shoot! At least you have IS.
