Hi Y'all,

Nick (Gluwater) is sleeping so I'm gonna do some fast processing here and try not to wake the lad up. He does look adorable, tight asleep, snuggled up against his camera in his Spiderman underoos.

The mornings have been very nice.

I always love your posts, but these first three shots are even more spectacular than usual. My flat ol' Kansas just doesn't look like that...

Its really fantastic being there at sunrise on a weekday morning. You are usually the only person there and its just other wordly with the ground fog and the the bright yellow-orange ball of a sun rising up.

I'll be happy to give Nick a smack for ya. :thumb

these are all great shots.

looks like you are mostly all using the Wimberley head, I was just reading about that in John Shaw's Nature Photography book. I've been too scared to look up the price on it though. Probably much more head than I need right now with my little canon lens.

I would love to see a string of 3 or 4 shots of #2 or #3 as panoramas. That would just be beautiful.

Were the sunrise pics taken with the D3/D300? Whatever camera your using looks like it handled the highlights and shadows magnificently. The other shots are great as well.

Hey Steph :wave. Thanks, now I'm sunburned and black and blue. I hope you all know the only reason Harry posted the Roseate Spoonbills is because he knows I didn't get any :cry.

Thanks and the Wimberly head is a fine piece of expensive equipment for long lenses.

Good idea about the panorama, I'll have to give that a try.

Harry, :clap

Which camera(s) were these with? Did you take the D300 out and have you gotten the D3 yet? I'm sorry I've not been checking in and keeping up enough lately.

http://behret.smugmug.com/photos/251209489-S.jpg
I love the birds randomly sitting on stuff in this one (and of course the sun!!), my favorite bird is the one on the sand below and to the left of sun. I don't know why, but my eye is drawn to him.

Your second and third shots are so dreamy. They look like carefully set up movie or video game scenes. Very cool!

And, I know you have tons of heron shots...but,

The reflections in this one are great!! If only that wee bit of debris wasn't there, either way it's totally awesome.:thumb :thumb

Psst, it's nice to see all the Nikons too!

Tell Nick to wake up and post! Oops, Nick is up. Hi Nick!:D

Thanks very much Christina. All the landscape, wildlife shots, and the shot of Trish were with the D3. I used my D300 for the three other shots. Since I got the D3 its kinda hard to put it down.
