Wow. I wouldn't know where to start! The USA is so diverse in religion, work, food, etc... maybe you should pick a smaller country that is more one-dimensional!

I think before you start this, you should ask yourself why did you choose the USA? What made it stand out to you than all the other countries? Is there something you like or dislike?
My professor gave us an assignment to make a report about any country i selected USA. Yes i know i can find loads of information from websites. But She says no copy paste from net she gave F to whole batch because of this last time
All professors will give their students Fs or lots of troubles if they find that people are cut and pasting from the internet or sources. You can still use internet sources, but you will need to paraphrase and cite them, and not load your report with a chock full of quotations. That would make your paper a mix of other people's words and not yours.
Well ask away on your questions about the US.

You certainly picked a tough country for some of those questions. As has already been mentioned, the regional differences on some of those areas are huge. I've lived in only two neighboring states (although several parts of one of them) and even there, the differences in some of those areas (food, for example) are large. There are also some language differences of note as well. Landscape and climate varies greatly throughout the us, especailly when you include Alaska and Hawaii. I think that if you could narrow things down to some more specific questions, we could be of more help to you.
Is there anything specific that you'd like photos of?
Good luck with your report.

Hey Awais,
I live in the northwestern part of the USA, and I have friends and family who I visit often that scattered throughout the country in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, New York, and Virgina. When travelling sometimes I feel like some of these different places are like different countries. Geography, climate, politics, sports, entertainment, attitudes towards work, can all be very different in these different parts of the country (sometimes in Texas it even seems like they speak a different language).
One idea that might make for an interesting take on your report: focus on some of the differences in through out the United States.

Ahan great now it will be much easy to collect information i never knew there is significant difference in different part of America
Why i chose USA ? because i thought i could find information about America much easily and pictures :wink and i lived there for few years :D
Where in the U.S. did you live and how old were you at the time -- I mean was it recent enough that you remember the U.S.?
I lived in New York/New Jersey and California. Even California can feel like different countries if you live up north in the mountain reason, or way down south in San Diego.

There's no way to even give an overview of hardly any of those topics in one page as far as I know. My approach (without knowning more about the class, professor etc) would be to focus on a specific aspect of each topic.
Like say landscape and climate of Wash DC (it varies just about as widely within the country as thoughout the world) or some city of interest or perhaps contrast a few extremes desert to forrest to city etc.
For a look at the past, luckily our past is not too long, but still way too much stuff to cover in a page, so I'd pick a specific event or theme. An event like say the writing of the declaration of independance or a theme like individualism, civil rights, etc.
For learning you could give an overview, i.e grade school --> high school --> college (specialized to some extent) --> graduate school (more specialized) or focus on a specific institution or a specific field of study.
I'm currently working on a jd at harvard law school, so if you need any pictures or information about havard law school or harvard college just let me know. I did my undergraduate work at george mason university (a state school) and have a few pics from there as well.

Or faces on Rock i don't know who they are but i like that too.
You are thinking Mt.Rushmore in South Dakota
That is used a lot in conjunction with the American Flag for book covers/reports/etc.
Another idea for the report cover would be a photo of the whole "mainland" country. Something like the world at night or maybe even a daytime satelite photo. I'm sure you'll be able to find some public domain/fair use photos on the net for this.

I like the statue of Liberty for the pic, it sorta represents what America is.. one big mish-mash of different people and cultures.. I think that is what makes America work so well, there isnt just one people, one way... its the whole Diversity thing.. wich is pretty cool.

I was thinking the same thing! Alaska is one of 50 states and we're so different from most of them!
good luck!

The following is just some random mutterings. Some of it may be worth reading, some most certainly is not. YMMV. I hope this helps some, if for no other reason than giving you some idea of one person's cynical outlook on such things.
General Information - Lots of people, lots of pollution, lots of cars, lots of politics
Landscape and Climate - varies from desert (Arizona, for example) to awe inspiring purple mountains (Montana, Wyoming) to low, green covered mountains (Virginia, North Carolina), to arctic conditions - Never getting above 0 degrees C (northern Alaska), to tropical island paradise (Hawaii). Take your pick.
A Look at Past - Slavery, stealing of land and resources from Native Americans, the greatest industrial revolution in world history, some of the greatest scientific discoveries in all fields
Family Life - This is as diversified as the population. In many cities, we have large communities comprised peoples from, literally, every other country in the world. Each peoples bringing to USA a piece from home, contributing that unique something that improves us, as a country, that much more.
Langauge, Government, and money - The official language of USA is English, but there is a drive moving to a bi-lingual institution, English and Spanish as we have a growing population of Hispanic peoples coming to us from Mexico, South America and other Spanish speaking nations.
Saftey and getting around - Safety - more than most, less than others. We seem to be a target for terrorist activity (just like many other nations). Getting around - way to many cars, not enough investment in mass transit - buses, light rail, etc.
The World of Work - more than many places, less than others. Many work a "9-5" job (meaning the hours of work are, nominally, 9:00AM to 5:00PM), 5 days a week. Many, especially lower income earners, work much longer hours at much less fulfilling labors.
Making Appointments - Huh?
Guidelines for business dress - Dress is whatever you can get away with. Many offices enforce the "white collar" tradition of a white shirt, tie, and western business suit. In winter, I go to work wearing a sweatshirt and jeans. In summer, a T-Shirt and lighter pants. If I were to show up to work wearing a business suit, I would get harassed, "So, when's the job interview?"
Welcome topics of conversation - In many circles, the only taboo subjects are religion and politics. There are just so many different viewpoints that it is just too easy to offend.
First name or Title? Addressing others with respect - Mister Jones (Mr., man, married or un-married), Missus Jones (Mrs. lady, married), Miss Jones (lady, unmarried). Less frequently seen is Ms. Jones, denoting a woman who wishes her marital status to remain uncertain. This is an attempt (largely successful) to separate personal life from public life and/or to remove the reduce the impression that a woman "needs" a man to succeed.
Gift giving selecting and presenting an appropriate business gift
Lets make a Deal! What you should know before negotiating - same as everywhere else, I'm sure. Market conditions, current pricing, level of supply, level of demand, etc.
Prosperous Entertaining for business success
Sports and recreation
Looking at health care
Learning in USA
Eating the American way - don't! It's one of the most unhealthy diets in the world.
Communicating with Americans - For most, it's got to be English as many of us are linguistically ignorant - knowing only one language. Sadly, I'm one such.
Spirituality - That's religion again. We have the entire spectrum, from those that believe in multiple gods, to those that believe in only one, to those that affirm there is no such thing as a god of any sort.
Holidays - We have national holidays - days on which those on the public dole (also called government workers) get a paid day off from work. Each religion has Holy days as well. Some coincide with the national holidays, some don't.
Arts and Litrature - yep, we have that too, some of it quite strange, some quite moving. All to taste. Some of it is government supported - but discussing that may be another taboo subject.
If you want to learn more (websites, Tv channels, Mags etc about america) - You're on your own there bud!

It will be a small report of 23 pages i.e each heading will cover only 1 A4 page.
I will put quotation for each heading.
1. The USA is a country divided into 50 states, each with its own capital city. States - Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, South Carolina, North Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Conneticut, Rhode Island, Massachussets, New Hamshire, Vermont, and Maine.
Most states have a uniqueness to them, not only in elevation, topography, climate, etc.
(Breaking the country into regions to discuss might make the best sense, Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West and Southwest. These areas tend to have similar climates, topography, culture, etc)
5.
Langauge. The primary language in the US is English, although many other residents and citizens speak and regularly communicate in other languages. The US has a large influx every year of immigrants for all over the world and they bring their knowledge of languages with them. In some major cities you will find areas that have been settled by immigrants with the same language and it can be common for those language to dominate those areas. New York City, San Francisco, are just a few that come to mind.
Government. While many laws are created at the national level, as many are created at the state level. For most visitors and residence the differences are minimal on a day to day basis. The country is a democracy and most officials are elected or appointed by other elected officials. On the National, State and local level most have Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches, that create checks and balances so that no one branch can become to powerful, and will still be account to the people.
Currency. The US dollar. Known and used around the world.
