Drive-by Shooting...Midtown Memphis

While riding around today in Midtown Memphis, I took a few shots...nothing spectacular. Midtown is an artsy sort of area with nice early 1900's type homes.

I've always like this home...at one time, the lot covered a city block.

Also in the midtown area is Overton Park...one of the more beautiful city parks I have come across. The Memphis College of Art is in the park.

Leaving the park, we see the entrance to the Parkview...once a grand apartment-hotel...now a retirement home.

Man, as soon as jumpseat comes back (Has been gone since Sept 11 :cry )
I am going to Memphis . Never been but I wanna it looks like it has character.
