Nice ones, Brian :thumb

I'm leaning towards #2, like that expression, colors etc. I do wish that little branch didn't cut across that way, but hay what ya goin do. Ask the Bird to move a little to the right :rofl

I've seen some nice pictures of these owls lately, these are definitely some of the best. Great shots.

Hi Brian

I also love the second one.

Got any strategies to share on shooting owls? I have seen a great horned near by at dusk, have seen something small and white flying in my backyard after dark, and can hear an owl in our back tree stand. So I am pretty sure there are owls nearby!

Great shots, thanks for sharing.

I like the expression in the second. Only change I'd make are the frames.
For me, the color detracts from the subject.

f/8 and be there? Just kidding.

For me the trick is just finding them. They are camoflaged very well and are hard to see. I was told where to look to fing these guys and they were exactly where I was told and it still took me a half hour to find them.

I used my flash extender which helped as they were extremely backlit.

Yeah, frames are subjective at best. Some people like them and some dont. Heck, sometimes I like them and sometimes I dont.
