Like the colors of course, and your idea.
I do think its a little busy, IMHO :D
Maybe, if you can isolate only one or two of the main branches, with all the those diffenet hues :thumb

Funny, that you make that suggestion. While applying USM I magnified an area to see how it looked. I thought to meself this might be neat cropped. I think I will go back and reshoot with a tripod and try your idea.
