I think these are young females - sign said Bighorn, but I certainly could be wrong.

You're right. They are young female Bighorn Sheep. I was just pulling your chain.

Wow, Dixie - You had me worried there! :huh :rofl
It seemed strange to me - I always think of Bighorns having the large, round, knurled kind of horns of the males, and so I wasn't really sure, but some locals said they were female Bighorns. Glad to learn that they weren't pulling my leg!

Hey Dixie,
Thats a good shot, great detail and exposure. I haven't found any lizard down here yet willing to pose like that (excluidng the gators of course). :D

They were running wild all over Tulum. It was just a matter of finding one that was somewhat cooperative.
Do those gators pose with their mouths open? :D

Only when there's food around:D Since they have kept their mouths shut in my presence I guess that ain't a bad thing.

Ann, you make me sick. Just kidding of course. I did spend about four days in Rocky Mountain National Park in August looking for big horn sheep and never found one. :dunno
