Harry,
The giraffe shot is cute, but the B-fly macros are very nice indeed :thumb :thumb

Did you use any flash, or just ambient lighting? Whatever you did, these came out very good. :clap :clap

I've got to look into getting a Macro lens too. I just hope it doesn't result in me wanting a $400+ ringflash :uhoh

Thanks for sharing,
Steve

Hey Steve,

These are the first macros I shot in a long while. I used ambient lighting for these shots. They were a real pain to get. I went to the exhibit on a weekday hoping to avoid a crowd, so of course two local schools were having an outing. It was too crowded for a tripod so I had to use my monopod which meant I needed a higher shutter speed and I had to up the ISO to 400. I set the aperture to F/22 and managed to get in a few shoots where some little tyke wasn't bumping into me or running in front of the camera.

Pristine, Harry :thumb
I Like the second shot the touch of yellow and the way the butterfly matches the flower it's on.
Love the way you see, Man :thumb
Oh, yeah "Deadwood" very cool show, one of the best right now IMO :thumb :thumb

You are so off I can not tell you. Linda does not awake until 9-9:30. I make my own brekfast at 6 AM and I'm at the wetlands by 7. I'm back home around 10 and then I have my second breakfast with Linda

Hey Ben,

Thank you very much. I was happy with the butterfly shots considering how long its been since I used my macro lens.

Deadwood is the only TV show I watch regularly.
