Aight folks... I'm gonna regret this probably, but I really need a flash and a tripod to take my photography to the next level.
From the reviews I read, the 70-200 f/4L's image quality is just as good as the 2.8L's IQ. Outdoors, I can handle smaller apertures, and I've recently started shooting mostly at f/5.6 just to get sharper images. From what I read, the 70-200/4 is just as sharp as the 70-200/2.8 at f/5.6 or greater...
Soooo... Selling my 2001 Canon 70-200 2.8L in MINT condition. Not sure how much to ask, so I'm going to start at $950. I suspected front focusing issues about 2 months ago and sent it in to Canon for service - they never told me whether it was front focusing, but I paid $150 bucks (can show proof of payment/repair) to replace some parts in it and have it fixed.
If you want to trade, I'm interested in:
a) Canon 70-200 f/4L
b) Canon 580EX MkII Flash
c) Tripod - anything sturdy enough to take outdoors for sports/mountaineering photography...
thanks,
-bernardo
