Alzo Digital: Flip Bracket

Anybody else using one of these? The Alzo Digital Flip Bracket. I received one for Christmas, along with an umbrella and some accessories. I used it once inside my home, seems like it works nicely...

I bought the nikon remote button to make it easier to take photos. Any thoughts on it?

Interesting.....this is the only one I have ever seen like this......I am interested in how it handles a body with a fast (2.8) 70-200 lens.....is the camera rotation still smooth as silk.....is it smooothe with no camera attached.......since I am going back into weddings this just might be a good thing to keep in mind...........

i have one and while the premise of the bracket is great, the execution is poor. i have no good things to say about the build quality. the hinges suffer from a lot of play. the clip that is supposed to keep the quick release mount does not work correctly. the hinge where the flash bracket arm meets the bracket itself became loose after just a couple of outings with it. the whole thing is just crap IMO.

i used this bracket with a Nikon D200 and a SB-800 flash head. i haven't even tried to put a heavy body like my Nikon D3 or Fuji S3 on it; wouldn't risk it. if you're going to spend $150 or so on a bracket, i'd suggest the Stroboframe Pro-RL. or for a lot more, the Custom Bracket Pro bracket. i have a Stroboframe Pro-RL and it's a heavy, but very well constructed bracket. i shoot about 40 weddings a year and gave up on this one after 3.
