Went out shooting with Nancy (Flygirl) yesterday and the weather wasn't the best. In the morn it was overcast and foggy. I went to my 28-70 to shoot landscapes because I didn't think we would get any bird shots in.

That was a juvenile bald eagle on that perch. I tried to get some shots but they were pretty bad.
pretty soon a pair of red shouldered hawks came along and chased the juvenile. D3 ISO 3200

Ya know what amazes me every time I see an eagle shot.. They always have that penetrating dead on serious look that is always so fabulous to see.
Great shots Harry. Bad weather day or not, your shots came out great. I was wondering when we'd get to see some shots from the D3..:clap :clap

Thanks Stephen, having the D3 and the D300 really makes a difference in these conditions.
Unfortunately the rain was too little to change our drought status.

Harry, Harry, Harry - I can clearly remember when you said you never needed anything but ISO 100..... White birds in tropical sunlight
It is nice to be able to shoot at ISO 800 though in the fog,and rain, isn't it:thumb
Looks like you had a ball:thumb

That high ISO capability comes in handy that once or twice a year when we don't have a sunny day. :D When you come down for MI V I will re-intoduce you to sunlight. :cavig
