Back from a dry spell...appreciate advice

Missed a few LPS rounds as work life became rather complicated (decided to leave my job in DC and move back to Boston). Had an idea for this round using my two month old and my wife's ring.

I really like the first one, however all the pink is a tad distracting. Perhaps cropping a bit off the bottom might help. Neat idea...and welcome back!

I like the first one. In the second, the diamond ultimately stills the show.

I like the crop, but prefer the color version, along with the "Girls Best Friend" title (which needs the pink hint in the background!). :D

Another try:
Took the photo into CS3 and used that Ortony effect as well as cloned out the dark background to make it a bit more high-key.
