Few pics with the new lens/xmas present.

Here are the first 'real' pictures I've taken with the 24-70L that I got for xmas.

The first two are of my best-friend and finance. They decided they wanted ThankYou cards with their pictures on it for after their wedding and asked me if I'd take them for them.

After that was done, we were doing some work around the property in preparation for the upcoming reception and while he was resting for a minute, snapped this picture--impromptu.

First one has no post--SOOC; 2nd one has the Adobe LR 'Aged' preset applied.

I like the first "thank you" shot much better than the second. In the second, their faces are too shadowed. You needed some fill flash. But with the first - what is it with you Texans and that damned obnoxious flag anyway???

I like the 1st thank-you best. Congrats on the new lens! That's my #1 favorite portrait lens. The only time it leaves the camera is when I'm doing family snaps and don't want to lug it around!
