ok, I would like to hear from someone that can tell me the best way to correct the skin tones in cs3 in the raw file....thanks janis

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I will give it a try. You will probably need to use a raw converter to get the file into PS CS3 (I use Lightroom). Once in PS CS3 you can check the tones to make sure your skin is not too red or not too yellow with the eye dropper tool and info set to CMYK. Dan Margulis says in his book that magenta should rarely be greater than yellow, other than sunburn or red cheeks from working hard or cold.
