Ok, well I decided recently to get a new tripod. And I don't have much to spend, so I was wondering if I could get some suggestions on some tripods. I am looking for a price range of around $100 no higher than $175, And I own a Nikon D70. Any suggestions? :thumb

I'll start with the obligatory link: http://www.bythom.com/support.htm :D After reading that, review your current tripod budget. :deal

FYI, after going through the same thing myself, my budget ended up much higher than originally anticipated. However, I'm extremely happy with the overall setup. That being a Giottos MT-7261 legset with a RRS BH-40LRII on top. Add in the various QR plates on the gear to attach to the head and I'm closer to Thom's $1000 than originally intended, but it was worth the investment; the gear plain works and will last forever.
