Hello all,
I have a couple of questions for the finepix s7000 that I just got.

1) I have heard that the camera has TTL and passive AF and no af assist lamp... Is this true? If so how can I compensate for this; external af light, hot shoe light, etc...

2) can i use a nikon hotshoe to pc sync adaptor?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

I don't know a lot about the s7000 so these are mainly educated guesses.

1) I have heard that the camera has TTL and passive AF and no af assist lamp... Is this true? If so how can I compensate for this; external af light, hot shoe light, etc... I don't think you're going to find an external AF light that would work. Some type of light that's hotshoe mounted might work, but I think it would be quite combersom.

2) can i use a nikon hotshoe to pc sync adaptor? You should be able to. Take a look at the adapter. If there's one metal contact in the center of the bottom and a single metal contact on each side (in the slots where the adapter slides into the hotshoe), it should be just fine.

Hope this helps...

Hello,
Is there an affordable hotshoe flash that has an included AF assist lamp that would work with the FinePix s7000 ? Will sunpak flashes work? Or any other affordable ones...

Thanks,
