Yesterday I treated myself to a new Nikkor 85 f1.8 and today I took a walk with it at lunchtime.

I'm pleased so far. It's plenty bright, sharp, and distortion-free. I think I'll need to upgrade from my creaky old D70 to get the fast AF performance the reviews report.
