Thanks for having a look, George.
They are from my salvaging project. They were taken with a Nikon 5700 compact and at a time when I didn't know enough to make the best of that superb little camera. Any interest they have is solely documentary, there is no photographic merit in them. They give me a bit of a challenge in editing skills, nonetheless.
I have just got a Canon 40D and am building up some gear around that, so soon hope to be able to contribute some different kinds of things here.

tlee, just had a look round your galleries. You've done some very nice stuff. I think your 'second-millisecond' idea is great. Good luck with it!
What gear do you use?

I've been snappin' snow pictures. Thats all I see around here lately :D
I just received my 10-22 yesterday so I was out taking photos in the freezing night air last night--burrrrrrrr. Today is sunny and bright and the roads are a sledders dream--icy. I hope to head out to try this lens in the sunshine.
Hopefully I will have some keepers to post.
Really enjoyed your photos :thumb

Oh, don't be a woossie, Mary, that's nothing! Art demands sacrifice! LOL
In Australia the Aboriginal People used to use their dogs to keep them warm. Since you have resources of that kind, why not use them? Make them earn their keep! On second thoughts, might be a bit restricting trying to shoot with something like what's in your avatar draped about your neck! Especially if it began to fidget... Hehe

:rofl I was a woossie today. After I shoveled a couple inches of snow off my driveway and played with the dog warmers I was cold even with long undies on.
As for the avatar---Tyler is a bigger woosie then me :rofl And my older dog Hannah is the lover of cold and snow, but she is a hefty one to drape around my neck :D
Its sapose to be sunny here again on Monday so I hope to get out then. Temp should be in the teens--whoopie :barb
