My first submission to the whipping post, so forgive me if my photo doesn't show up properly. Give it to me. Good? Bad? Pretentious? Hackneyed?

I like the idea - an older structure reflected in something obviosly newer. Very cool. My suggestions would include: crop off the bright area at the bottom. Use a lens-correction tool in photoshop and see if you can align all the lines...

Otherwise, great shot :thumb

Thanks for the kind words. What do you mean about aligning the lines? they lean a little to the rear because of parallax. Is that what you're referring to? Or is it the lean to the right in the composition?

Bigger pic! It's tough to evaluate otherwise.:scratch

And I'll agree with the other poster -- the lines of the glass building need to be straight as an arrow for this kind of composition to work well, IMO.

i just made it bigger. And to your observation to the lines, i'm not sure what you mean. Parallax?

Bigger IS better.

And yes, I think they are both talking about parallax. I know CS3 has a tool for correcting for this. I think squaring up the image would improve the composition quite a bit.

Yep squre it up and, it will be a great image. The concept is very good indeed.

I like it as well. Lines need to be straight, crop the bottom and one thing I'm unsure of is the barreling of the reflected building. I suppose that is true to the reflection and it does make it unique, but will have to return to it again. If you do make some adjustments, post again. Love to see it. Oh, and very clear reflection. Good job there.

I didn't get it exactly right, but here is an approximation of what I think people are talking about.

I did this in elements using the skew command. Great pic! hope you are not discouraged by this feedback.
