Sunday afternoon Tom, Gary and I ventured up the mountain to the Los Angeles Observatory in search of clear skies and infinite views following the recent heavy rainfalls.

Here's one of my shots and the rest are in the gallery. Thanks for looking.

I love the million abstract possibilities in the architecture of that place. I really dig this one. (http://angelo.smugmug.com/gallery/3975731#231078180) This place is accessible at night, correct? I think I have seen night cityscape shots from up there.

That's getting added to my list....

Schmoo, this observatory is one cool place, inside and out. It reopened a year ago after a $93-million remodeling and was spared by a huge brush fire in May earlier this year. You should check it out when you have the chance to be in the LA area. More info about Griffith Observatory (http://www.griffithobs.org/).

I agree, that's my favorite. I also like "cityscape (http://angelo.smugmug.com/gallery/3975731#231078073)" a lot. Wished I could have made it out there!

Thank you.

And nights are good as long as you arrive before the park's access roads close at sunset.

Tom has one night shot in his post with others in his gallery: http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=78501
