How many generation of 24-70 are out there?
I am about to buy a used one, but it doesn't look like the newest one on the market. This lens is 2 years old. Is there anything wrong 2 years ago with this lens?

People claim that the canon 24-70 is slightly better than the 24-70 Sigma lens???

You may want to look at a canon 50 mm 1.8 instead. You can move back and forth a couple of feet to make up for the loss of range.

find yourself a tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 instead. better iq and more consistent build quality, imo.
