A few shots taken on my morning walk today. The fog has been very dense the last few days. I believe it was Rocket Man that used the term "Top of the World" for one of my "fogscapes". I liked it, so I adopted it, but I want to give full credit.:D

These three shots are of the same valley, going from left to right. I walked along the ridge of course and some time elapsed. The fog will tend to rise up as the sun warms the air, but sometimes it condenses again into a dense layer. The mountains look like islands in a white sea. These are larger mountains on the east side of the ridge compared to the small peak I took for the challenge panorama shot which was on the west side of the ridge.

Hey Tim,
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I love to hike up this hill in the morning. You may recognize the point as the one I photographed a while back, with my dog Red near the boulders. Had three dogs with me today, my own two and my daughter's dog. They were off in the brush, having a ball.:rolleyes

Thanks Angelo,

Romantic.... yes, I hadn't thought of that. My husband was not with me today. He came along yesterday and we walked up the other way on the ridge. The fog was not as exciting yesterday. It didn't get that cauldron boiling look at all. It's an ever-changing show.

Here's another one with the sun in it. This is one case where I like the lens flare. I think it adds to the atmosphere. Do you agree or not?

Hey Snappy,

Outstanding shots. :clap
Thanks Harry and Lynn,
Thanks for the kind words.

Hey Hummungus,
Thanks for looking. And thanks for reminding me of the 1,000 posts. I knew it was commming up soon and then I just got so wrapped up in the minimal challenge and stuff, I forgot about it. Wow! 1,000 posts! Even though I have to work and sometimes don't even get time to log in, I do try to keep active here. This is such a friendly place and more helpful and convenient than a photography class.:nod
