I am trying to take a Word file and upload to a new gallery. The Word file is a price list for our basketball league. Instead of using the file as a picture in the gallery I would like to have it show up like I did the bio page (using the description box). The Word file is not only text but graphics also. Does anyone know a way to save this file I guess in html or css or something that I could put in the description box and if not what would be the best way to use this price sheet in my gallery. Thank You very much. SC

Word is one of the worst programs to attempt to write any web layouts in. It's probably easiest to attempt to recreate the layout from scratch in an html-only gallery (storing the images in a private gallery somewhere on your site).

I would use basically the same method you did in your about gallery, maybe
without the div's. I could help if you want. What if you pasted the doc into
the description then we could see all the elements and could then maybe
clean it up into good html. all Upload all the photos to the same gallery for
linking and then can hide them below.

Put it between html tags and holler back and we'll look and see what word
junk can be removed.

I am not having any luck Allen. I tried to copy and paste into the description but that wouldn't work and then I tried to add as a photo but I can't get word to save it as anything that smumug will allow me to upload like jpeg, gif, or whatever. I am not sure what to do with it. Let me know if you have any other ideas. just to give you an idea of what it looks like there is a header with company name, phone, and website and then in the body there is 2 framed text boxes on the left and 4 smaller framed text boxes on the right and then a small footer. Thanks for your help I really appreciate it. SC

Can you take a screen shot of it and post here?

Do you know how to get a screen shot of a word file. I tried attaching a pdf of it to this post but when I hit the attachment button it says I have uploaded the maximum files of 0. In the posting rules it says I may post attachments.

i did get word to save as a web page and then took that source code and added it to the gallery description. Needless to say it did not work well at all. you can look at it at http://imagecreations.smugmug.com/gallery/3940675.

It may be easier just to design it in publisher or something. Thanks again.

Let'me see what I can do, the main thing is seeing the data you wanted.
Back later I hope.

Edit: back :D

Replace the description with this. This is just a quick format, can be changed
around to what you want. Hope I got things together correctly.

Allen, I don't know what to say. I just got on the net tonight to check for your response and I put in the code you gave me and my wife and I are both amazed. Thank you so much we really appreciate it. I know I am just getting started with the site and we become paying customers of smugmug today (it was the last day of our trial), so when you get a chance take a look at it and let me know (email - steve@stevecampbellproperties.com )if there are (I know there are) any improvements I can make. Again Thank you and God Bless You. SC
