I have written about this guy before. I sit here in my office and hear the screeching he does to call his mate.

I get my camera, go out and find him:

He has a real knack of being tough to find in the trees. I can hear him, but finding him is always tough.

Soon, he finds me:

I get a shot or two off, pretty much always obstructed:

He gives me one last screech:

And he's gone.

Usually I get the departure shot as well, I must be losing my touch.

I couldn't sneek up on a '47 Buick, let alone this guy.

I know as photogs we usually like to get that "clean" shot but I also very much appreciate shots that show off the subject in its habitat. It looks you captured this red shouldered hawk(?) in its habitat. Good going!

Pretty neat to have a hawk near your office. Good captures Z. :thumb
