Living in the Midwest summers are warm so I leave my camera gear in my vehicle but as the temperature drops I find myself carrying my camera bag like a purse in and out of the vehicle to the office to the vehicle to the house and on and on...

It's really not the cold that's bad for the camera but the condensation created when you go from the cold to the warm ... correct?

What is the best practice for dealing with cold to warm temperatures?

Thanks in advance! :thumb

Yes, and for more general winter issues there is a really good thread (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=3167) started some time ago about shooting in cold temps. :D

Living in the northeast, leaving your camera bag in the car has never been an issue, not if you want to keep your camera at least!
