This is a photo I have done yesterday at night under full Moon.
I shot raw and jpg at the same time.
The raw picture returns better data than the jpg one and gives more flexibility of adjustment.

The yellowish spots on the trees are from the light of the street, some 500 meters away.

Nice moonshot. Looks like it was a bit breezy last night.

It was indeed but not enough to shake the tripod in this occasion.
Thank you for watching:D:thumb

I try to shoot in RAW all of the time for the most part. I enjoyed the shots. Thanks.

I don't disagree with your conclusion. But I do disagree with the evidence presented. Sure the RAW finished product looks great, but it is after much processing. Adjust the JPG file as well and let's see the difference, lets see where the JPG starts to fall apart. In other words, I don't see an apples to apples comparison.

I used jpeg once - but it was an accident - "someone" changed the setting on me and I didn't notice. :D

OK, the camera was two days old.

I'm much more careful now - and I will also avoid arguing the relative merits of both methods.

My mind is made up and I'm too old to change it. If I do, I'll forget where I am.:rofl
