First attempt after being inspired by some of the minimalist work I found on the internet. Any thoughts?

I like this a lot although for some reason the colors bother me. perhaps it's the color of the purple that doesn't quite compliment the blue like I thought it should. does this make any sense?
yes this shot meets the challenge! :thumb (yet another one of my humble opinions--I'm full of 'em tonight)

This is cool. I like it. It's a good example of minimalism. I wonder if a black shadow would be simpler.

Maybe changing the opacity of the shadow might work? Just a thought. Definately a good representation of minimalism

Yup. Minimal. How'd you get the purple shadow? Not sure how I like it better...

The second pic is pretty much right out of the camera except for some white balance adjustment.
For the first pic with the purple shadow, I selected the shadow and altered the hue with the color slider in photoshop. I thought it added an interesting coloration which reminded me of several minimalist works that I viewed on the internet. Apparently, I was the only one who like it!:rofl
