The eagles have started migrating south. There was more that I thought there would be down in the Quad City area of Iowa/Ill.

An adult & 2 juvies were making a meal out of this deer in a field by the interstate.

Wow, Dave. Great shots of a magnificent bird. I suppose I always knew that eagles took carrion too, but it is slightly wierd to see eagles in what looks like a field feeding on a dead deer. I always expect to see them near water feeding on fish.
