Well done, Nick!
Nice use of the vanishing point with the trail. And I think with it being off center it brings the sky and clouds more into the picture compared to the other one on your site where the path is centered.
Might be my monitor but I think I'm picking up some of the blue in the pathway and plants along the path. Intentional?

WTG Nick! :thumb For a place that can get so cold in winter I feel kind of funny saying, "Hey that looks like snow!" The clouds have so much motion in them which is kind of disconcerting - in a good way. :oogle How long was the exposure?

I can never get enough IR. Was just reading today about Fujifilms new IS-1, dedicated IR digicam: Not sure what to think about it. I hope my 20D is converted to IR before the 2008 Arches shootout. Nice capture. I like how it all pulls into the bottom left third.

You and Travis are too too kind :lust. This shot was handheld at 1/80th. There actually isn't any motion in the clouds. What you are seeing is distortion. The IR XT this was taken with has not been calibrated for the 10-22 and if it is not then they do not play nicely together. The AF is inacurate and I get really soft images sometimes. That is only with the 10-22 though. This was taken at 10mm. So how long until you try an IR?

So since I didn't take any notes I relied on maps.google to give me the correct name of the lake. It did not, check for yourself. Thanks for the correction, I thought Loon Lake sounded incorrect.
