Tamron AF28-200mm Aspherical XR

I just one this off ebay for about $115 with ship I hope I didn't goof I know it's not the best compared to some lens but anybody have any experance with them it is a EF mount but not DI so I am not sure if the AF will work on my 40D. I would be grateful for any thoughts.

I have the Nikon mount version on my D50 which I bought new last year for $150. I've been pleased with it for most everything except low light. I use it for portraits, and I also took it to Indy this year. Here are a few examples. It can be reasonably sharp, and its a great walk around lens for a nice price. It should be even better on your 40D.
