Its a good capture but a bit soft. Were you using a tripod?

Were you using a tripod?NO NO TRIPOD the boys in white had the tripods I WAS WALKING AND LOOKING it is like i said a long way off and hand held .not very good i know .only reson for the post is that it is 1/2 of the mating pair i have him in flight also but same distance and no 3 legged thingy either http://www.dgrin.com/images/icons/bncry.gif:rolleyes :dunno I do have one tho but it came with no +

Hey Jeff,
When you are shooting at the extreme end of your lens its a good idea to have some support. You might want to consider a monopod. They are light, cheap and can give you some good support. Also there are times when having a blunt instrument can come in handy. :D

Also there are times when having a blunt instrument can come in handy. :D yOU ARE MOSTLY RIGHT ON ALWAYS i do have a mono pod and should have it with me on EVERY outing the 70/300 ? on size but is a blur lens i would need a tri pod and a blind with great light too get an out of focus shot or it may be the guy behind the camera -------NA
