Here are a few shots that I took at the weekend with my new D80 and 18-200mm VR lens.

Not big on the border of the 2nd shot but love the composition and like the last one too. :thumb

This shot I like but you may want to darken the edges a bit so as to hold the view in the center more.

I like everything about this. The frame goes perfect with the subject.
It really matches the feel of the clouds.
VERY well done!

This one is the weakest of them all and I'd want to work with it a lot to see what else I could get from it. For one thing the colors just seem to be a bit weak. I'd crop this shot down to just above the tall tree in the center and make a pano out of it. (leave a small piece of sky above the tree)

Scroll your screen up to cut the top sky off to that point and see how much better it looks.

I like everything about this EXCEPT for the fence in the front. It is just too new looking to make the rest of the image look like it is in some old forest somewhere. If you can get back to there take the same shot but move in over the fence and just show the weeds in front and just the fence in the background. Back there it looks ok and more natural.
The fence really detracts from the beautiful trees.
Otherwise all good images.
