A few preliminary street portraits. I'm not so good at street photography and it's been a fun challenge. The range of interesting, story-telling faces here is extraordinary (especially on the older individuals) although most of the good ones go flying by before I can get my camera ready. :D

Young couple in Shimbashi:

After sundown in Ueno

Legendary, hip Tokyo salarymen:

One of the (rather tame) Harajuku girls on Sunday afternoon:

Cosplay and Smuggy (they found our request rather amusing!)

Thanks for peeking!

Yessir! I am headed home today and although the people here are great I still wake up every morning worried about not being understood. :D It's much more effective to mime and point than to use my mangled Japanese!

The spiders here are huge. :huh

More shots will of course be forthcoming. I've been so busy running around all week like a headless chicken I'm sure when I actually sit down to look at my files I'll wonder why the heck I took the photo for. Thanks for all your help in the weeks before this trip!!!

It's hard to say which I enjoy more, your photos or the accompanying commentaries! Always a pleasure to see both, and I'm looking forward to more upon your return.

Safe travels :lust
