I come to you in search of wisdom. If a fellow were seeking knowledge about photography, especially digital photography, where would you recommend this fellow seek it? Which book(s) do you think are informative? How about magazines? Other resources?

Of course the obvious - Amazon.com - look for books by Thomas Ang - he has written several - and they are about images and techniques rather than favoring a specific camera. He was a photographer before shooting digital too. Amphoto is a publisher of many books on photography as well.

The Web is a great source also try http://www.normankoren.com/ - Norm Koren is an engineer so he knows the hard science side of digital photgraphy very well, but also has a nice artistic eye. Also look at the Luminous Landscape even if you have no interest in landscapes - Michael Reichman offers a GREAT resource for digital photographers at http://www.luminous-landscape.com/ - If you read everything on his site it gives a great background for the digital photographer of any stripe. Both of these sites also offer link pages to other sites of interest as well.

When you have finished all of the above, and written a 10 page report, come back and I will give you some more ( just kidding of coursehttp://www.dgrin.com/images/icons/Laughing.gif) Have fun - ther is a ton of stuff out there - much of it for free or minimal cost.
