It's always great to stop on a route as mundane as your commute to smell the roses... or in this case to take some great photos. I love the third shot with the sun because it looks so peaceful and almost surreal with the sunlight streaming. :thumb

To get the star, your lens needs to have a very small aperture and the sun itself needs to be partially obscured. Hope that helps for the next time you stop to snap!

Very nice commute! I really like the pano.

The first two I'm asking myself "what's the subject?" The cool trees, or the view. They're nice, just not catchy.
