View Full Version : Lost Souls
I borrowed the basic shot from son Dan who was visiting the WWII memorial with his girlfriend, and I did a bit of work on it. It sort of reminds me of my feelings when I was asked to videotape a funeral there some years ago. I will not do that again.

I think this is a work of art. I usually hate selective color, but this is the first one I've seen in a dog's age that works in any meaningful way. The subject, the composition and the selective color all work together to create a great sense of loss and scale of grief. The colored flag at half mast and the colored fountains are both at sweet points and balance each other. Also they set off the people.
Really fine work. I don't think I'd want to do it more than once either.
