Summer's evenin'

With the dreary autumn weather and all, I find myself thinking back to summer. As I recall there were nightingales singing, it was warm and meself and a friend of mine were by the shore catching a day old crescent moon:

We were shooting at one of the better bird sites around. I obviously couldn't resist looking at what the coots and swans were up to in the fading light and saw this:

Those are eurasian coots taking it outside.

I've offered the crescent to NASA (for APOD (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html)) and Sky & Telescope, fingers crossed. (Sent pictures to NASA, must be movin' up in the world :D)
