I picked a couple of different ones, and I did less in post. To be exact, I did not crop them so tight, and I did not add red, so those bills might look more natural. Their feathers still look dirty IMO, but I don't know what to do about that. This first one is as I first saw them. I always take one of those to prove they were there in case they fly away. Let me know if this is better, please, ginger

Below is "Ruffled Feathers". The wind can really blow on the beach and the marsh. I hope it doesn't keep this up. One spring it blew the whole time and on into summer.

I think these look sharper without as much post,?, and I was careful not to post any that were not as sharp as they got. The DOF was not great, so it was difficult to post two birds at once. It was on about F8. That was the 300 Prime with the 1.4 extender on it, about 420.

Much. much, much better Ginger. The exposure is very good, they aren't blown out and you got some good detail in the shots. #2 and #3 are excellent shots. :thumb

Ginger,

I agree that these look much better exposure-wise :clap As Harry, points out, the last 2 are very nice :thumb

White is funny to work with. You can use "Selective Color" to remove some of the yellow from the feathers (Sel Color Adj Layer>White>move the Yellow slider to the left a bit), but I find that I can screw things up worse if I don't watch out. Like making the feathers have a magenta hue....lol

The white on these birds doesn't look bad at all.

Good stuff and thanks for sharing,
Steve

Hi Ginger!

The last two are nice shots. I think the brush in the first is a little
distracting.
