Hi!

I just calibrated the displays of two G4 iBooks
and now whenever the corrected color profiles
are selected in the Systemprefs Monitorpane
the printer won't print black anymore and render
some other funky colors and patterns across the
page.

When I select a different color profile for the
monitors everything works again. As if the printer
was using the same color profile like the monitor.
This is super wierd because the printers do not have
a color profile assigned to them in the systems menu.
When printing the normal RGB mode is selected.

Is anyone else having this?

P.S.: I'm trying to print text files, so no edited images
that could be expected to look wierd on a non calibrated printer.

The display profile and printer profile are totally separate entities. One should not affect the other unless you've done something really odd like setup your color preferences in Photoshop to use the wrong profiles for untagged documents and are working with untagged doc's.

You might want to launch the ColorSync utility and run Profile First Aid. Some profile might be corrupted.
