ACDSee Photo Manager version 10 - upgrade?

A reason to upgrade to version 10 (maybe not a compelling reason) is their nice upload to Smugmug feature. It is easy to use and seems to work fairly well in my tests thus far.

Other new items that I have not tested yet:


Post a photo widget on your website or blog
Create PowerPoint Presentations
Pop-up previews
Improved RAW viewing and browsing (does not work with 40D Raw files!)

As a long time user of ACDSee I'd rate this update at about a 6 on a scale of 10. Is it worth the $35? Probably not.

But that is just my opinion.

The photo widget is similar to Flickr's. I suppose it would have it's uses.

It doesn't always want to activate (which is a real pain) but that may be my security settings here at work. I'll have to try this some more at home.
